OK here is the question.
I have a P7 that I would like to get the hard chrome treatment on. Who, in Canada, does the best job on the hard chrome finish. Is there anyone out there experienced with different gunsmiths, that can attest to the quality of their work? I know I want the hard chrome finish, I just want the best person (in Canada) to do the work.

Hard chrome job is completed..

I have a PSP that I've been thinking about hard chroming as well. Dark International/R K Gunsmithing was a Canadian site I found. Not sure of their work but their rates seem reasonable. I'm not jumping into it too quickly as my budget needs to recover from some recent purchases...

Personally, I think it'd look pretty sharp....

I see their web site states 250.00 for most handguns. If they can make it look like that, it would definitely be money well spent.

The chrome job in the picture above is by a well-known American shop. Does anyone have pictures of anything chromed by Roger Katanko, smokinggunfx or some other Canadian outfit?

Not even sure which shop did the PSP in the pic, I found the pic when I was researching how a chromed PSP would look like and saved it for 'inspiration'......

Ditto on the request for pics of anything done by RK, smokinggunfx or any Canadian outfit....

I've seen that pic on HKPro before; I think it was done by Fords.

Im getting my p7 done up like that. Awsome. Perhaps in two tone.

OK, I am going to get a hold of Roger Kotanko @ Dark International and get the ball rolling. Their shop is close enough for me to drive to, so I should be able to have a look around. Here is what I'm thinking of having done.

* Hard chroming on the frame and Magazine.
* Bluing, deluxe finish - high polish on the slide and trigger.
* Set of burl walnut grips

Any comments???

That will look awesome. Post some pics when its done, also how long will that work take to finish?

Your colour combo sounds like it'd look really good especially with the walnut grips. For me, I'd want to hard chrome the frame, slide and two magazines, maybe four so the break down of cost to chrome a magazine would be nice. Sights and trigger to be refinished in blue. I'd be curious to know how much disassembly of the PSP he would need to do in the process and if the chroming is satin. It'd be too bling, bling for me if it were to be mirror-like. ;)

Ken Lunde's wedsite has some nice pics of hard chromed P7's.......
