As your heading north out of Blackfalds take the first right after you go over the train tracks it heads up past the chemical plant.
After you turn off Hwy2A cross the tracks and when you come to the first main intersection which is before the big hill you'll see maybe 4 metal grain storage tanks on your right.
Kitty corner you'll see a field and a few hundred yards north a house on the east side go in there and ask permission to hunt, there may not be to many in those fields right now I really cleaned them out last year.
Due south of that field is a pig farm those fields also had a lot of gophers.
As you continue East up the hill I believe it is the next house on the left this fellow owns most of the property around that area he should also let you shoot on his property.
Out by Clive/Alex/Stettler is also very good gopher shooting just don't be afraid to knock on a few doors for permission.
I spent about 4 month's last year prospecting thru most of Alberta from Lethbridge/Medicine Hat to Cold Lake/Grande Prairie and the Lacombe area was the very best gopher shooting I found.
Just remembered go West to the Bentley/Riley areas as well there are tons of gophers over there as well and there is an awesome gunsmith shop in Bentley that you have to check out.
