Thought some here might be interested - I've been looking for years for one of these little brush poppers for sale. I located and purchased an authentic Marlin Marauder in 35Rem. I won't actually receive it for a while as it's coming through the export/import officialdom. It's my first 35Rem and with the 16 1/4" tube it will be close quarters handy.

The seller is 76 years young and purchased it new in 1964. Here's one of the seller's pics of it he sent me. Although a somewhat rarer model Marlin, it'll be hunted like my 336LTS and 336ER (also rarer models) - hopefully this fall. It may make my 336LTS (30-30) superfluous. Also it's supposed to be quite accurate with Rem factory 200s I'm told. Like I said - Woo Hoo !

... just what you need for them three legged bears up Sudbury way!
Right - but the tenderloin was real extra yummy though - when word gets out how tasty the three legged variety is everyone will be coming here to hunt em. So "mums" the word eh?

...was that the one on gunbroker?
No it was not.
So go to the gunsmith and have him knock 4" off the guide gun barrel.
Do that and you commit a criminal code offense. However if a factory issues a trapper length lever it's legal. How a gun "arrives" at a short barrel length matters legally here. The NFA has written it up a few times in their magazine. It may be difficult to see why but that's how the law stands as I understand it.
Marauder's rock ...
I think so too. I'll report back as to my experience with it when I get to shooting it and hunting it. It's pretty much the same gun as my 336LTS in 30-30 but with slightly more authority in 35Rem.

We do live in a country full of retarded laws, so you could be right.

Since the federal gun registry is basically aborted are you sure though? Why couldn't you bob the barrel? It's not like you are violating the gun registry data base. Or am I wrong there?

Personally I think the damn things are already TOO short, at 18.5". I much prefer my M-1895XLR.
