HK MR223s on order for Canada

XCR...

Yes!, Yes! and God Yes!

Throw a few accessories on that Sig....like a scope rail and railed Handguard... You'll be over $4K in no time...(wait...there is no railed handguard)

If your going to scope it you get the flat top model. Same price as regular model.

Yeah their's no railed handguard, but the HK doesn't come with a built in bi-pod so take that :p

Now throw a few accesorries on that HK and your up over 5K!!! ;)

And Rifles are way overpriced in the fatherland... You can't take the Euro cost and do straight exchange.
The P30 would have been like $1800cdn if you did that. It's only $1150

Worst of all worlds... Restricted, incompatible with AR15s and overpriced. And to think I've been saving an LMT lower for a civvy 416 upper when it finally came out... Screw 'em, I'm going to get a Swissarms.

HEY HEY!! Come on guys!! We are talking about Heckler and Koch. You cannot compare that to a ####ty TAVOR or AR-15... not even the old design of the SIG Black Special. Just go see the test fire of the 416 VS M4 on youtube.

These gun dont lose there value, they are collectible item. It totally worth the money.

Man,and we all know how good Nicholls warrenty and service is.... it is so good it is non existant.

at least with the tavor can-am has shown he will step up and fix any problems.

Nevermind waiting around about 5 times longer then you were quoted and weeks end up turning into months just to get the gun from R. Nicolas/FN Sports. :runaway:

That's what I'm talking about!!!

I agree with you. For 1000$ more than a Tavor, I would go MR223 all the way.

Pat

Sh!tty tavor? Ethan might I recommend you learn before you speak.
But it's HK! It must be good if they use it in all the movies! Plus HK guns are the best for airsofting!

HK fanboys are the worst fanboys around. Write HK on a dog turd and they'll trip over themselves to pay too much for it.

I saw that torture test last week. Um........the chances of me firing a restricted rifle underwater is pretty much nil. Unless the range is flooded under a fathom or two of water.:D

Atleast both the SIG and the Tavor are the adopted service rifles of there home countries, not some attempt to improve an antiquated rifle for an army that always fails to pull through on contracts for the M16's replacement.

Unless it comes in 308 I couldnt care less, and thats just because I can't get a HK91.

Israeli special forces are NOT using the Tavor.... they use ARs makes you wonder why...
Looks like the Galil story.

And your point is ?
These guys look about as special as airsofters. They are regular army.
I talked with a friend that is in the Israeli army. Still using ARs for the SF.

Tavor is being slated to replace the M16 and thats the reality. The M16 is antiquated and is only still chugging along because free rifles will always be better then rifles that cost money. Not to mention the number of industries that provide m16 related goods that have an investment to protect.

As for there use in the SF, if I was trained on and spent a few years with an M16 I too would pick it up before trying a new rifle, its part of the human condition to cling onto things that are known.

Perhaps. But I did try shooting the tavor as well as quite a few other rifles and to my point of view the AR-15 system has the best ergonomics (controls are easy and quick to access and mag changes are fast).
Bullpups have been around for a while but never really got used by SF units to my knowledge.

The Israeli Special Forces can use what they please. They are familiar with the M16 so they will continue to use it. If you were in the Special Forces or in the military and knew how to use a rifle with your eyes closed (ie instinctively) and knew it worked for you, would you really go to a new unfamiliar rifle if you had the choice ??

I know I wouldn't. But maybe I'm just a odd ball ??

I wouldn't be surprised if a few do adopt the Trevor as time goes on and they fill their ranks with recruits that have used the Trevor since basic training and are not familiar with the M16.

Dimitri

Five grand for a AR...Man the Americans have us in a bad spot.

yup, i got my 5.56mm a few months before the "ban" on 5.56 chambers and other lame issues. I agree with you on that.

AR's will still flow in .223 chambers variants...... but the 5.56mm chamber thing, quite possibly one of the most dumb things i've seen so far.

So are you saying you want to make life-partner relationship with that guy named Trevor you meet the first day of boot? :p :p :D

----

The perfect weapon system is the system one can use effectively for the given tasks. All weapons require training, re-training and never relenting on practice.

The AR has its own faults but is a great system in its own right. When it comes to mass use of defence department, it is not only about which one is the so called best for performance, useability, etc....you have to factor in cost, maintenance, etc. If the US gov't gives Israel a sh!t load of M16s and M4s with spares gratis, would Israel reject and say 'sorry, we already have our own better Tavor built in small factory number 1 down the street.'...?
