Hatsan shotguns .. function backwards?

Just wondering if these hatsan shotguns are like some of the Russian ones, you work the action backwards? (compared to an 870 for example).

The photo shows the forearm all the way back, but the bolt is closed.

(Maybe just shown that way for the photo, and doesn't actually work like that?)

The action is closed in the forward position. The pump slides back to the trigger guard when the action is cycled.

Notice the "cut out" in the forend? it slides back over the loading gate back to the trigger guard.... Hmmm, I might just have to take a closer look at those, I find the forends a bit long on some pumps.

Oh I see it now... It just LOOKS like the action is back, but I see the notch in the forearm now.

It looks to be a very 'short reach forend' on that shotgun
I just compared that photo to an 870 photo and the forend projects about a third more forward on the 870 than the hatsan. Might be a good option for anyone who continually short strokes the 870 or short statured shooters with short arms.
Might be interseting to check out.
