Just come across this thread. Reload can be quite pricey.

I would assume, if factory ammo was used, FN would pay for some of the medical expenses and some compensation since it was "warrantied" ; but because of reloads being used, it can be used by FN as a scapegoat. Also told me that since I was shooting reloads that the warranty on my gun is void.
from reading it, it had nothing to do with the fact that he reloaded his own ammo... why the comment about it?
if you read the thread he states that it was the gun firing out of battery not the reload that caused this.
On the upside, atleast ammo is hard to find for the fiveseven here in Canada. It just might prevent future incidents.

There appears to be some changes since my IOM... the tip of the barrel looks different, its black.

Also the safety has a different texture to it:

It feels like a toy compared to my Kimber Ultra Raptor

that could happen to any pistol if you double charge it...doesn't seem to be much of a story at all other than to remind people to be careful when reloading.
if the gun fires out of battery, it doesn't metter if you reload or not...sooner or later someone is going to get a KB....Glocks blew up in the past even with factory loads.By the looks of it, even with the double charge his pistol fired out of battery. In any case this is another example of why I don't reload. Personally I don't think FN should have sent him a new pistol. If you're going to get sloppy with your reloads, f*ck you.. Why companies constantly feel obligated to reward stupidity is beyond me.
