10/22 overhaul

i recently put a new stock on my 10/22 and am planning on turning the original plain jane stock into a bit of a project. refinishing the wood, maybe doing some artwork in the stock. what are some good and trustworthy sites to purchase a new barell and reciever, a bi-pod maybe, or little odds and ends like the barell band and butt plate

Ditto - I've purchased a shorter stock and barrel for my 10/22 RR (thanks lone-wolf!!), so we'll have to compare notes!

I seen a barrel band in the EE the other week. People changing the carbine stock to an aftermarket one usually can sell that barrel band. A WTB ad would probably turn one up. Couldn't hurt right?
