A Smith & Wesson Model 29-4 .44 Magnum off the EE. Looks brand new. Going to the range with it tomorrow. :D

WOW, that looks bad-ass....nice grab. There's one thing you gotta do. Get your self some Fritz Polish and the Fritz polishing cloth, and turn it into a super polished blue hand-cannon

It's very easy, safe on the finish, and will truly bring out the brilliance of the blue finish.
Your local gunshops might have it, but if not visit BROWNELLS.com and order the polish&cloth (might be $30 mailed to your door)

Put a little amount of polish diretly on the gun and rub in with circular motion with cleaning patch. Do entire gun, then buff with polishing cloth, and you will be able to brush your teeth using it as a mirror, from the bright blue polish :)

What ever you do don't shoot a Model 57 .41 Magnum after you've had your Model 29 for awhile. It will make you get out of .44 altogether & never look back.... ;)

Did ya get some rubber grips with her? After shooting a dozen or so hotter loads you're gonna appreciate having rubber/synthetic grips.

Came with a set of Pachmayrs which are in the EE. I'm gonna get some Hogues for it.

+1 on ditching the wood grips for shooting.

Wood target stocks are lovely for display and photo ops. But for serious target work some nice Pachs or even soft Hoques are the ticket.

I'm back from the range. At $50 a box for ammo I only bought one. American Eagle jacketed hollow points. Shot mostly two handed standing position DA, shot a few SA, and shot some one handed after getting used to the recoil. My hand was a bit soar at first, mainly my middle finger kept hitting the trigger guard. Anyways, here is my best target, 12 shots at 20 yards, two handed DA standing position. The shot at the very bottom edge is from a target posted below which I shot at one handed.

well done. i found some winchester .44 special for 30$ a box. its a non jacketed cowboy action round sold in a plain cardboard box

I saw some too for $39 a box, but I wanted to use Magnum rounds the first time firing it. :D

I kinda' went the other way and ended up shedding my model 25, 27 & 57 and stuck with the 29. Still have it, A 4" with S&W factory ivory magna grips. A keeper.

dirty harry

Nice shooting "Harry"...
I love this big smith's...and the blueing on the 29 is superbe...
Somebody brought up the discussion about grips for this beauties...the factory grips fit your hand like a piece of "Firewood' and make your hands hurt after a few full loads, rubber grips from hogue and pachmayr fit very well and are comfortable.
However, the best grips I found so far are the smooth, laminated, oversized, finger grooved grips from Hogue. they fit like a glove and are extremly comfy...

X 2, on that, the 25 no-dash, it went away to a good home, and made room for a 624, also have a 629, a Dan Model 44, and an Anaconda too.

Almost let the Brazilian S&W go, but decided to keep it as well. Keeps the Heavy Duty, 1940 made pre-Model 20 company.

My most accurate revolver I believe to be my Colt Model 357.
Last week, with this good old Colt, I dead centered a 3 x 8 inch stick, offhand at 50 meters with factory 357 ammunition.

Either the Dan Wesson or the Anaconda, neck and neck for 2nd place.
