Ithaca Mod. 37 featherlight

Those pics didn't quite work out...might try that again.

Another issue with Ithaca values...the company in it's original form is defunct, making the guns something of an orphan...vs Remington 870 for example, still made new.

Come to think of it, 2 3/4" Remington 870's aren't going for much these days either.

Although I don't own one at the moment I love Ithaca 37s. I had an Ithaca 87 which is the same gun but briefly renamed in a bit of temporary foolishness by Ithaca. It was a 3" gun with choke tubes. Unfortunately I sold it when I was in my first year of working after university and needed the money. It was in mint condition and someone got a good deal when I let it go for $350. I'd like to own another, or several, Ithacas.

You missed your chance. I sold an as-new demo unit M87 on the EE about a year ago

Blue Book puts it at:

100% 98% 95% 90% 80% 70% 60%
$265 $230 $200 $180 $170 $160 $150

Then goes on to say: Add $104 for nickel finish (mfg. 1991-92 only).

I should mention that the provenance of the individual might add significantly to it's collector's value. How much do you know about it's history?

I think straightershooter is right , when he says peeople think they need a 3' chamber for waterfowl. I've shot my dads 37 DOM 1948 with a light mod. choke with steel with no problem, otherwise nobody seems to know why they don't fetch a bigger buck.

ithaca

It has a 20 inch barrel and a ramp front sight with a bead and it came from the Travis city p.d .IT has the full length mag tube and was on a prize table
