Hey guys,

I have recently just passed both my PAL and hunters course, and I have gotten all of my stuff back. I was just wondering, where can I pick up my H1 card?
Can I pick it up at Lebaron's, home hardware? or do I have to go to a government building?
I am in Ottawa..
 
whats an H1? The only one I know is a US Visa H1B

You have to take your paper work to an MNR service desk. From there they will issue you a paper based license, and take your current outdoors card. Apparently they only send out new plastic cards in December, so you will have to wait until then for the actual plastic card, but the paper one they give you will have all your tags.

There are three versions of the outdoors card. (for residents)
1. Fishing
2. H1 (Gun and all allowable methods of hunting)
3. H2 (All allowable methods except gun)

Here is how to obtain the Outdoors card; if you need it in a hurry, call the number and they will tell you which office to go to.

Ahhh, I stand corrected. I probably should have clued in to what the H stood for, which I assume is hunting..

I just applied online though, picked up my 3 year sport fishing license tag to put on it.. Should be about 3 weeks before I get it which is in fine time for deer season.

What Provence are you from? we just do the core here and then go to the local gov office and get our hunter number. then we go buy our licencese and of course you need your pal to buy ammo thats in BC anyways

Congrats Slipery. I remember going through the course years ago and had to remember all of the types of ducks.
