Im not going to lie to you, and fellow CGNer the 'judge' can back me up, I have had fantastic 'luck' shooting milsurp portugese 147 FMC out of my 700P, I get .7 all day long....If you can find the stuff, buy all you can:runaway:

If you're not reloading, you'll have to try a box of as many brands as you can to find the ammo your rifle shoots best. No two rifles, even two identical rifles with consecutive serial numbers, will shoot the same ammo the same way.

Yep, every gun is different. Get your self a varity of ammo and have your self a fun day at the range. That is the only way you will find the ammo you and your gun like.

Enjoy.

ok, just checked the bullet jump on my SPS-Tac.....to touch lends, SMK 155 bullet has to sit in the shell to give you overall length of 2.911inch instead of 2.800......it`s 0.111inch over the specs...almost 2.6mm.....this round will not fit the mag well :(
any thoughts about it?

try to take a part 5 rounds and measure how much powder they have....
the number you get is not gonna be the same...even close....so, it`s not a high quality ammo for precision shooting :)

It is called single loading;) I have 155 SMK's sitting at 2.875" and Bergers VLD's way out a 2.925" to just touch the lands. My rifles are single shot target rifles anyway so I don't have to worry about feeding them from a mag. The chambers are cut with a .308 Obermeyer reamer.
So yes, your SPS-TAC has a long lead as do most factory chambers. 155 SMK bullets don't mind a little jump, say up to .040". You have to test your seating depth to find what shoots best. Your rifle may shoot like crap .010" off the lands but might shoot like a house on fire .020" or .025" off the lands.
