Breech plug anti-seize thread grease..

Any suggestions for non-conventional source / brand of anti-sieze grease for inline muzzleloader breech plugs. More to the point, stuff I can get from Cambodian Tire or Home Hardware. I am not looking for that $hit specifically marketed from TC / CVA / Traditions, etc.

Last I checked none of the ML manufactures were in the refinery business, all they do is slap there brand name on a tube of existing goo and add $5 to the price tag.

Ideas?

Any anti-seize from crappy tire or an auto parts store will work, I use locktite antiseize stick because its not messy and its cheap.

I use Champion spark plug anti sieze

A can of 'never-seize' has lasted me for 35 years and there is lots left....and it works like it's name........

The best anti-seize I've used is moly cote, or anything with molybdenum sulphide in it.

I believe that's molybdenum disulphide, but ya, moly cote is good and reasonably priced.

I use the stuff from NAPA that has a little brush on the lid. Seems to work fine for the ML and for shotgun chokes.

Yup your'e right, disulphide, best anti-seize there is, it'll still be on the threads 100 yrs from now.
