Wow, talk about a bad luck year...they must have really cut back tag numbers in a number of zones.

Antlered and antlerless mule deer for both of us and V got Non-Trophy sheep....ugh

Thought we'd get at least one moose and elk tag.....sadly no bison either.

Good thing I've got a few out of province hunts planned and still lots of general tags to buy!
 
Mulie buck and does in 359, my son drew bull moose, cow elk, mulie buck and doe(3) everything her applied for.

It's almost too much, we'll have to find a home for some meat.
 
Nothing for me...

I applied for the Bison draw and did not get it, also no luck with Ant'd mule deer. Worse is that my buddy did not get drawn for moose. I was kinda banking on him getting it, and being able to go along on a co-op moose hunt during the rut. Plus we take turns on the moose draw, so right now I am expecting that I gotta go 999 Code on moose next year, cuz it is still "his turn" to draw! :runaway:

So as it stands, this year I get to buy general tags for mule deer and whitetails and I will also get out for fall black bear.

I have the option to buy elk and moose tags and go bow hunting. I'm gonna have to consider that. :confused:
 
Our group 999'd this year. Usually hunt 359 so every 3rd year we get lots of tags. Should try to split it up because it can get tough trying to fill moose, mulie and elk tags allin 7-10 days. In 2006 we knocked down 3 bull moose and a 5x5 elk in the span of 30 minutes (4 seperate hunters), and spent the next 14 hours hauling and skinning meat. The last day was a wash as everyone was too tired to fill their muley tags.

I'm Shocked!
I 999'nd everything except antlered moose.
Got drawn in WMU 250 for antlered moose at priority level 2.
I bow hunt whitetails at a few places in 250 but never thought I would get drawn for moose at priority 2. I applied there just for the hell of it.
I know where to take a moose early with my bow or late with a rifle in 250.
I have from Sept 3 to Nov 30 to deal with it.
Horse shoes up my ass or what, life is good :dancingbanana:

No horseshoes Norton...250 is a very easy WMU to draw a moose tag in. Last year, 100% of priority ones drew a tag so you were a shoe in with a two! Good luck!

Didn't get my Muley Buck but just as well, I can focus on both Sheep tags much harder this way. 999'd everything else.......

Sheephunter, I had a look at last years moose draw in WMU 250, and you are correct.
They gave out 200 draw tags there. I had no idea they handed out that many.
I figured it would be like WMU 260 with 15 tags available.
I guess I’m not so special, am I :redface:
And, besides, as we all know draws are not based on luck, they're based on priority.

Moose camp is on-got drawn again for bull moose (12-14th year in a row)-now hopefully of few other buddies get drawn too. Also got cow elk and didnt get my mulie buck, so its a general mulie tag for archery season to hunt the big guys. 999'd trophy sheep again...to busy and out of shape this year....next season as I will be level 9 or 10.

My biggest mistake was I forgot to enter my wife's draws...thought I did it. Oh well, its general elk and whitetail tag for her. Maybe if I dont get a moose, she can get a Undersubcribed tag in NOvember.

Tried to check the RELM site this morning for my buddies and it down......SYSTEM OVERLOAD with hunters checking draw results from work....lol

It was pretty slow when I double checked today too. It was totally locked up the last day of applying for draws. Baffles me why people put off the most important thing if the year.:slap:

I'd like to know who had the brainwaver to remove the current draw priority from the draw booklet they mail out. Not everyone has net access.
