I have installed a Wild West ghost ring sight on my 1895GS. At the same time I got a Williams firesite from Wild West.

I cannot adjust the elevation on the ghost ring low enought for this new bead and so the rifle shoots 2.5" high at 25 yards with factory loads.

Is there a store in the lower mainland where I can get a higher Firesite?

Aaarrgghhhhhh... I don't think there is anyone around here carrying iron sightsof any sort. I don't think even Russell's or Wholesale in Calgary do. You might have been able to pick something up at the HACS show last Sunday, but it's too late for that.

Just curious: why did you opt for the Firesight rather than the XS white-line sight? They and the ghost ring are made for each other and those white lines really stand out. I made one (too cheap to spend $30 US!) for my Marlin 1894 and also for an SMLE and used a very thin strip of Scotchlite reflective tape. I thought of making one up for my 1895 but have decided to try a Holosight-type red dot on it.

sir in Winnipeg has them. scroll down about half way through this page, look for Williams front sights.

Come to think of it, Western Gun Parts in Edmonton probably does as well but they have no online catalogue (Only a CD-ROM!) SIR is probably easier to order from.

I just thought I'd bump the oldest thread on the board. What's a day on CGN without an ancient (and repeated ad nauseum) thread topic being bumped back from obscurity?
