Looking around for some HK-style things for my 10/22 (seeing as how the R22 is toast), i came across this... Looks pretty sweet!

Im thinking of getting one when they come out, i guess they're not quite finished yet.

I emailed the guy making it, he's supposedly trying to get an MP5-like stock to work with it, but it probably wont be for a while.

Im guessing either the whole stock would need to be changed (AKA, 2 versions, or one with both attachment styles), or an adaptor that can be screwed into the buffer tube, and used like that.
 
Yeah, I really like it too.

But I do not like that stock on there.

That is definnatly the biggest con to the whole thing IMHO.
 
Rhineland Arms used to make a 10/22 stock that made it look like an MP5SD.
Shame they went under,it was a sweet stock

Yep it was a nice stock, but this stock will be pretty cool IMHO.

Its got the MP5 style handguard, and the barrel shroud for the look, and you have the full length top rail for whatever AR15 sights you want.



I think an MP5 type stock would be sweet also, if we give enough feedback, we may be able to convince the guy to try to make an MP5 type stock :D
 
For the HK look, why not just get the GSG-5....:runaway: :slap:

I tryed the G36 clone route for my 597 but there were serious problems and I gave up on it... now that looked good...

First off the GSG-5 is still so far as we know Prohib (unless its been changes, tho i doubt it) plus the fact that its barely above airsoft in quality. :p (im sure you already knew that with the whole smiley train after tho :p)

The Ruger 10/22 is a MUCH better, more reliable, and has ridiculously good parts availability.


Putting a 10/22 into an airsoft reciever also has its downsides.
 
Just got a bit of an update here.

After talking to the guy, he's released some photo's of a design to adapt an airsoft MP5 A2 stock :D

Dunno what the quality is like for the airsoft stocks, but it looks pretty cool!




A computer model of the adaptor. It'll probably just screw into the buffer tube threads.

No idea when the release date is for the adaptor though.


Apparently he's been planning this from the beginning, im not sure why it wasn't designed to take MP5 stocks from the beginning, although this will allow people to have both Ar15 or MP5 stocks.

The stock on my G36 conversion was very good, the receiver was the ####s.
