So i recently got an sks. I find it is going full-auto.
No cosmoline in the bolt.
Perhaps some ventilation holes in the gas tube could lighten things up a bit.

X2Make sure the firing pin is dry. No oil required. It should be able to rattle when you shake the gun.
My Russian has an original one, it works well. I guess if your not big into cleaning after shooting, then an after market spring loaded firing pin would be a wise investment for you.Get the Spring for the Firing pin.
Does someone have a source for a SPRING LOADED FIRING PIN SYSTEM?
There is a few solutions for your problem.....
Get a competent smith to fix it........
Get a better gun...........
Dump that commie junker in the saltchuck before you lose some friends at the gunrange..........
yeah ... yeah ... yeah , same old ... same old .
if it will get rid of you , i will bring all 5 of my SKS there.![]()
