Help my brothers GF choose a pistol!

1.I Taught many people with smaller hands with My Hk P2000, it is a very nice shooter also i was quite impressed, and also has interchangable backstraps.

2.If her hands are not overly small then i would suggest the Sig P229, the added weight with 40 will be nice for her to learn with ( if she is not already a pro!)

3.To save cost tho and still get a comfortable shooting pistol the S&W MP40.

Springfield XD9 has a really nice feel and weight balance and is well under the budget at around $650 to $750, but not shiny at all. The shiny requirement rules out most composite pistols too.
I have seen more than one woman shoot a HK USP quite well and they have the shiny slides on some models-- that might do the trick.
Hand her a Smith and Wesson 686 in 357 just for shock value at its weight (can't get much shinier than that) :D

One of the few pistols she actually did find at a dealer close by she could put her hands on---she really liked the feel of it.. All in all, she still prefers the STI over anything else I showed her.

Well, obviously a Lady of refined taste. 'Sides since most folks see a 1911 and ASSume it's a 45, she'd probably open some eyes at the range if she shoots the 40 quickly :D
