This may seem like a simple question but this newbie is stumped
What is the easiest way to swap the stock that comes on the 15" mag fed from the full stock to the pistol grip they send with ?
the manual is for a folder
any imput appreciated

There should be two small holes or plugs on the recoil pad, that you stick a screw driver into and take the pad off. Then there is a bolt underneath that that you take off to switch to the pistol grip.

If it is the same as the regular Grizzly, There are two round plugs on the back of the recoil pad. Pry these out with a screwdriver, underneath are the screws holding the recoil pad on. Unscrew and remove the recoil pad. This will give you access to the big bolt that holds the butstock on.

(Mark P obviously types faster than me since he beat me to it)

oh man here we go again......

The understanding is that by adding a factory pistol grip to a factory grizzly you are not shortening it to less than 26" my telescoping, folding, or "by other means" so you are then still non-rest/non-prohib. UInless there has been new developments, or a court case to this scenario this is the arguable concencus around here.
there is also the "30 day rule" where you can modify a firearm, and then have 30 days to report and change it's classification therfore you're ok to have a pistol grip on for 29 days, then take it off etc...

Be prepared however to try to explain these to a LEO or CO if you are questioned about your short gun... you likely will not get a gun savy, or convincable officer ;)

I am not a lawer, nor do I play one on TV.... I have stayed at a holiday inn express once though.... so take my comments for what they're worth,

do a search for dlask pistol grip, or grizzly pistol... lots of reading

do you see rest, non rest, or prohib??

FWIW the RCMP forensics folks disagree. I brought in the Fabarm Ultr Short and they classified it as restricted becuase it was under 26" OAL. If you go to court over the issue, be aware that the "experts" will disagree with your determination.

It is not a question of length. It is a question of whether you have a pistol. This has been covered at length in the other shotgun threads. 26" has nothing to do with it. The FRT lab uses barrel length at 16" or under.

If the RCMP Forensics (CFC) don't agree, how the hell do you explain to a PO if he say just a sec, I call the CFC and get "it's a prohibited firearm".

I guess I'll send an emain to a CFC tech, get a complete reply and always have a printed copy with me.
