But seriously, I don't see why a GM should be getting a free ride. The other shooters aren't there to watch the GM shoot. And chances are the GM will get a trophy anyways.

I don't know a single GM that wants more trophies. Winning your match fee to the next clubs Level II is a far better idea.

I like the idea of allowing a PROVISIONAL BB to shoot their first match for free, provided it's a level 1 or 2, obviously Level 3's are more expensive.
I've seen some students come through the course then we never see them again and that is very disappointing. We need to do more to bring them in and get them to WANT to stay. As you all know, without new shooters coming in, we can't sustain ourselves.
Constant whining and squabbling doesn't help. The mentoring program is an excellent avenue to get shooters in and help them learn and want to stay, we just need to tweak it a bit.

So where do I sign up for a mentor? The mentoring program is an excellent avenue to get shooters in and help them learn and want to stay, we just need to tweak it a bit.
I don't really recall asking you, Hugh.
GMs and Ms should have their fees waived, and then they get to pay for everyone's beer after the match
So where do I sign up for a mentor?
Since we started this membershihp has done upIt is a real money loser to IPSC Alberta and we should stop it while lowering the BB fees at the same time.
I am a fan of getting rid of a lot of the trophies dished out. Give trophs to the juniors and prizes to the winners. Mind you I enjoyed the first few trophs I recieved. Touchy subject to handle as trophies are expensive and everybody who hasnt got one wants one and the few who usually get one dont really want to lug it back home regardless of placement.
