Russian SKS45 long thread.

I just called to check on the order (i haven't had any contact with sir since i ordered in march) and the broad that answered wasn't very nice at all. just told me that they weren't in and that i'd get it when it came in. never asked for my name or invoice number

just another example of fantastic manitoba customer service. i just ordered a rifle from wss eventhough it was 20$ cheaper at sir

Probably just tiring of the endless calls for the status of the sub $200 bulk ordered lead lobber.
 
I think Pottsy is right..............except the lead lobber comment. LOL, I am buying mine for just that reason, except I got to handle the CZ. Hmm some serious second thought going on now.
 
Frontier has my PAL and credit card, nothing else I can do except wait. I am hoping to get a nice unexpected surprise in the mail one day when I have forgotten all about it. "Christmas in ____".
 
letter from SIR

Dear Mr. T

Further to your order for the SKS Rifle, cat # 410050
We have just been advised by the supplier, that the new expected delivery date of these units is now in september.
We will of course hold your order until these arrive..... etc.

this is the first time i received any letter from SIR since i placed the order on feb 29 , 2008 .... this is good news.:dancingbanana:
 
I got the same letter today, September bla bla bla....I ordered March 11th. Maybe the letter means they have a better idea when there comming???:rolleyes:
 
The ship will likely arrive a year after we placed our orders.

Kind of sucks, but at least it helps to space out the glares and angry eyebrows from the wife. In my case anyway, as it doesn't seem like I bought 4 guns at once, only three, and one 6 months later :D
 
I received my letter today of the SIR shipment delay. Another disappointment...out of SIR's control. I will bite my lip and curse the "unknown importer". One good thing as I am #60 on the first shipment. Now I hope at least 60 firearms show up.

i hate to pop your bubbles but 60 sks-45 wont get you close to getting one bcos there was 125 orders of norinco thats been switched over and they been waiting for as long as 18 months before given a option to switch .

there got to be more or it wont be worth the headache (red tape) bell is going thru .
 
I got one of those today also . I wouldn't call it good news . And saying the expected delivery date is now Sept means absolutely nothing . They'll get here when they get here (If they get here at all ) At least I know I've got 2 if they do .
(Any one want to buy my extra I think $400.00 should be fair . I'll take a $100 deposit on it if you want it and let you know if it ever shows up ! ) LOL
Just kidding , I'm keeping both !

hey C , im reading it as good news cos SIR has spent time and money on this mass mailout , they wouldnt do it if they didnt feel the shipment is arriving soon.
