Russian SKS45 long thread.

If memory serves me, Milarm had (a decade ago) a deal for Russian SKSs. Three for $400. :stirthepot2:

and in a decade from now, the russian sks45 will be selling for $800 and we would be reminiscing about the year (2008) when we could have bot them for as low as $169 .:D

Has anyone actually called to ask what is going on? There could be numerous reasons why the ad was discontinued. Let's work with facts rather than rumours.

That would take the fun out of the speculating! I think the retailers know about as much as we do as to when they are slated to arrive, that is to say, no clue. They gotta up the bribes to get the paperwork moving more quickly.

yes, camj called. looks like the ETA is now sept. and the second shipment is toast .:(:(:(

Well I called. The new date will likey be August.........sometime. They doubt they can get anymore. She was surprized it was off the site but assured me the first allotment was still on its way....so is Christmas.

Bell now says about Sept.
Still working on getting proper transit permits through various countries.

frontier has updated their site to late sept.

32 Rifles Remaining on our September Order

We are pleased to announce, we will be receiving a large order of Russian SKS rifles expected Late September 2008. $229.95 Per rifle includes shipping.

:weird:

The facts are that gun shops across Canada have been advertising the sale of these since at least February. There are many more retailers besides SIR and Frontier involved. My local shop says they'll be getting in a dozen. None of them seem to know any more than you or I. The importer has screwed this up royally IMO. I could have sailed to Europe and walked across Russia in the time that they have been promising the arrival of these puppies. To those people that have put down a deposit or actually prepaid for these I'd be asking for a refund with interest. I wonder what would happen if you placed an ad on the EE, struck a deal with the buyer, and didn't deliver the product. I'm thinking you might get a negative feedback or two. Me, I'm gonna dust off my file of BRE-X shares and send them to Curtton to sell for me.

apples and oranges , no different than canam with tavors and type 97a or marstar with M14s .... dealers offering hundreds as oppose to a few on EE . they needed to get thier ducks in order as marlin of frontier said.

as for the bre-x shares .... i gladly , personally buy them off you , if its original certs .:D

Everyone who ordered a Russian SKS did so knowing full well they weren't in the country and would take awhile to get here. On the other hand, if you bought Bre-X shares...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

As mentioned, we all knew the SKS's weren't in country yet. All the dealers who took deposits are reputable, in good standing with the gun community, they disclosed the guns weren't here, and if the customer wanted to, you could put down a deposit to try and reserve one. I feel if worse comes to worse, we'll all get our deposits back. I have no problem with this. If dealers see there is established demand for items like this, they may and try to procure more stuff like this. I think compared to the 90's, the gun market is alot different, and stuff is alot harder to acquire for the dealers and ultimately us. We all gotta work together. I know Roadkil's trying to get some of us to cancel our orders so he can buy more of those Russian SKS's. :)

After speaking with a local dealer here in Hamilton I am gonna just wait this out. Plus I found I can get the same milsurp ammo by the case soooo what the hell. I can shoot at an indoor range if it coomes that late.

does anyone have any feed-back on delivery status of these sks'? I would like to aquire one and the price sounds great!

Funny guy! :slap:

They'll get here when they get here. Order one, and forget about it. In a few months(hopefully) you'll be pleasantly reminded of your order with a Russian SKS.
