P 250 "Tactical-All Terrain Digital". Sig's website says that the barrel is 3.9", but that's actually the length of the regular barrel. The extended threaded barrel looks long enough to get past the magic 4.15" number.

Did you see the specs and price? 3 mags, holster/mag pouches and the gun for $829 !!

Awsome!!

That a U.S. price though.

Wonder if it's available with the full-size upper - which would definitely be just restricted.
Sig said that they will be making a full-size version of the P250, but who knows when it's gonna come out.

Full size 250's are expected to start shipping in the US in September/October.

Other thing to remember is that the whole "idea" behind the P250 is that you can switch and swap uppers and lowers. The "gun" or the serial numbered "frame" if you will is actually a metal section that contained the trigger section and the serial number... it slips down into the lower (the bottom/grip section) so you can change the bottom section (sub-compact/compact/fullsize) and the same is true with the upper (slide and barrel).

The idea is that one gun (one serial number) can in fact become a full size, compact and sub-compact in various calibers simply by buyer these various conversion "kits" and swapping back and forth. It's a nice idea... obviously not all of it will apply in Canada (short slide/barrels will be prohibited here) but there's still a lot that will be available to us.

Time will tell how well it catches on.

I am assuming tho we will be able to get the compact sub compact kits anyways even if you import them and toss the barrels on we are able to get threaded barrels from SIG. Do you think it is likely to get 250's in compact similar to how you get the 229's now?

At this point we don't know... it depends on what the barrel is, what the cost to make a custom barrel will be and if there's enough of a "market" to justify building the custom barrel.

It's a decision that we won't made for some time yet.

I would think the factory threaded barrel is long enough allready,yes/no?

Oh no! Sig has fallen prey to the fashion trend of digicamo!!!

I always thought they had more class than that... but I guess it pays the bills!

I like that digicamo for some reason. Allot of the prints on rifles and such seem tacky to me, this one on the Sig I kind of like.

I WANT I WANT I WANT.... one thing threaded barrel obviously means that one will cost $500 more and the digi cam... oh boy another $500 thank god it doesnt have the word "TACTICAL" written on it anywhere....

Young Jedi, you mean you don't see the word 'TACTICAL' printed in the digi ACU pattern on the frame ...shame on you. :p

Squint your eyes, it's a little like those 3D puzzle pictures from the '80's and '90's :D

Jokes...

I want a full size slide on a slim long digicamo frame.

We finally received confirmation on the barrel length of the P250 Compact - Tactical Digital Camo package... it is over 4.18" so it's legal for import to Canada.

This is a special package being offered with extended threaded barrel, holster, double mag pouch, etc.. They aren't being shipped yet by SIG but are expected to start shipping beginning of September... We should have a small number of these available here in Canada by early September.

Retail price in the US is $829.00 and for a limited time only, anyone placing an advance order will get one at the intro price of $899.99 Canadian for the complete package.

More info will be posted on our website shortly.

Threaded barrels seem to be a sure fire way to put a compact pistol over the minimum.

The SIG website says the barrel on the Tatical 250 is 4.8 (121.9mm), which makes sense because you need more than half an inch to have enough for a supressor to get on there - and this is 0.9 of an inch longer than the normal model.

The SIG Mosquito is 3.98 inch to 4.58, with the theads on there, or 0.6 of an inch longer.

USP compact in .45 auto is 3.8 inch normally The tactical model with the threaded barrel (that we have seen here in Canada) is 4.46 inch - or 0.66 inch longer than the non-theaded gun.

I really want a 239 if they come to Canada with threaded barrels. The P239 is supposed to have a 3.6 inch (91.44mm) barrel normally - almost the same as the HK P2000 that we are now seeing in Canada (I own one). The P2000 supposed has a 3.66 inch (92.96mm) barrel. Add at least 0.6 of an inch (15.23mm) onto either gun for threads and you into "Canada legal" territory (at least 106.67mm for the P239 and 108.19mm for the P2000).

By my "figurin'" over here, any model in te SIG line-up should be "Canada legal" with a threaded barrel - as the P239 and P232 are the smallest in the line-up with 3.6 inch barrels.

I would love to try one of these P250's, but I absolutely cannot wait to have a P239!!

Man I would jump on that if I had the cash.

I actually like the camo on it (normally I'm not a fan).
