Well. the weather held out until 1pm then it rushed in huge. Poor turnout for what I believed was a good match. My thanks to all whom attended, Scores are being tallied and sent in by Monday.

Jarlath thanks for your efforts and those of everyone who helped you set up the match. I had a hell of a good time, the most fun I can have with my pants on for sure.
Great stages and course of fire but next time I will have to remember not to listen to the fat guy when he tells me I should throw some extra rounds down range and I`m sure that hostage will never forgive him for the bad advise.:dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

You should send those pictures to Glock, I think they would be very interested in seeing them:

About this thread and the ODPL shoot:

:needPics:

Sorry No pictures this time :(

Was too busy running a match. Less than a full crew for taking snapshots while running the match. One clown was shot through the nose however....

Some people have repressed childhood issues :)

Just remember that Galt will be holding a Multigun Sept 27th. Muhahahaa

Another big thanks for the effort! It's really appreciated. Was my first handgun match at Galt - you guys put on a quality match. Sorry more folks didn't show up. Even better that the scores were posted quickly!
Glad that you enjoyed yourself. We aim to please. :)
Tactics question: you see a threat target but there are non-threats behind. Do you have to engage somehow or can you progress to a better position where the shoot-thru is less risky? Would you get a procedural for not engaging the threat as you see it or can you obtain a better position for the shot as long as you are moving/shooting/using-cover as appropriate?

Aha! Someone has found my favorite tactic. Yes you can move to alternate cover to engage the target or shoot on the move. Or you can take the accurate shot all have risk. And if your shot is non-intentional (And an RSO can see if you have any hesitation) you don't get a FTDR. Remember that unless you are specifically told that there are no-shoots in a CoF description, you cannot earn a procedural for accidental shoot throughs in ODPL. One of the reasons my favorite stage briefings include the phrase "Clear the stage".
