Hakim .22 trainer

Yeah I saw that which was what got me thinking, but I'm talking about the semi-auto .22lr fed with a 10 round magazine. That pellet gun is definitely cool though :D

I have one coming home soon...

A Beretta Hakim Trainer in .22 - not an air rifle, a 22LR I believe, made in 1955with all matching numbers... quite a find, but stumbled on it. Kind of matches the Beretta Super Sport I picked up a little earlier.

Any info on these?

WOW! I got a bit of a fetish for the .22 trainers. I would sell my own mother for one.

Nice finds guys! I like both the pellet and .22LR versions. I've found a few rare ones too, but never a Hakim in person. I found an Italian Fascist-era trainer in Woodstock once. Great little .22 built on a Vetterli-Vitali action.

Never heard of a .22 pellet trainer?
The British tried out one based on the No4. In fact it WAS a No4 with a barrel liner but a .303 chamber so it could be loaded with chargers like the regular rifle. You pumped up the cartridges instead of the rifle and inserted the pellet in the end of the cartridge.
I have a commercial one that was produced after they went back to the standard .22

175pounds plus a "shooters pack for another 55 quid that included the pump, 5 cartridges, lube, and 100 aluminum bullets.

Damn. What made it so heavy? :D

Had the Trainer out yesterday, and it is quite a shooter... bested only by the other Beretta I have... no FTF or FTE, nothing from the few hundred I fed it (that's everything from cheap bulk to target to subsonic...). Awesome.
