What am I doing wrong?

ok, so i figured out how to remove the bolt from my Enfields. I can get it back in, but now it won't close all the way? what am I missing? i've monkeyed with it for about 20 minutes now, and pushed this, twisted this and nothing seems to be working. help me guys!!

Make sure the bolt head is screwed in completely.
