Question about Crossman red dot sight

I opened the case and put a small blob of epoxy on the LED. This kept the LED from moving around and changing the point of impact. It worked fine on the 22 but the problem is the red dot is just a reflection and in full outdoor sun it is almost invisible. Repositioning the LED to make sure the brightest part of the beam is out the front and not too the side might help. Replacing the LED with one of those high output ones might be the way to go. Still not a bad deal for $20.

I use mine for paintball. I think my paintball gun had more kick then a .22 lol

I just think they're too junky to be reliable.

i tried it out today and it seemed to hold pretty decent, but after shooting about 50 rounds the ruger mount became loose so i had to tighten it back up before i could continue shooting
