I want to buy an SKS.

Such as buying pinned ak magazines that cost as much as the rifle?

From what I have seen they average $25 for the 5 rnd mags, thirty rounders are often on the EE for about $45.

If you can tell me where I can get an SKS-D for $45 I will happily pay you another $45 for your trouble :)

buy a russian they are the nicest built of the 3 and after 1950 all had chrome bores, a huge plus when dealing with corr. ammo. The chinese mostly have chrome bores but are just simply not as nice. The yugos are nice but do not have chrome bores, do not readily accept aftermarket parts as easily and have more feeding issues(not prevalent but more so than a rusky).

Ok dumb post on my part, but I just don't think your getting your money's worth when you buy a sks-d compared to a normal sks. Especially at the price they're going.

they dont make the "D" anymore so i see higher prices in the future .

I dont know about the Russian or Yugo SKS, norinco is the only one I have fired, but I could sit and hit clays at 100yards all day with it. given the cheap price on the rifle and for the ammo, it was a great buy for me anyway

I always wanted to buy a Russian. Don't the russians have a spring loaded pin instead of free floating? no slam fire issues with russians I thought. Plus overall quality.

spring firing pins are in SKS45 made in 1949-part of 1951 , thereafter to part of 1956 are non-spring . chances are you will get a non-spring .

Could there be any in warehouse in China right now?

anything is possible but the last time a dealer brought them in was a few years ago .
