Mossberg 4x4 heavy barrels are there any, where do I get one

I have just bought a new mossberg 4x4 in 300 win mag. The gun is so light it jumped about 6 inches off the ground from the bipod position. I would like to know if the is a heavy barrel that i can buy to replace the stock one.

You'd be better off to sell you'r mossy and buy what you want . Or start with a classier name brand . Not that the mossy is bad it's a howa & they are reputable shooter's . But you will have absolutly no resale value for a rifle that's gonna cost you about a grand in the end .

I am not looking to sell the rifle I just want to make it so I can shoot it without it jumping so bad. Where can I get a heavier barrel and maybe a stock. If you can help I would really be grateful.

Don't think that it is even available. The Mossy 4x4 was another value rifle offering vying for its piece of the entry level market like the Rem 710 / 770, Savage packages, etc.
 
Who makes the barrels or actions for mossberg, some one told me it was Howa. Not sure I think they have heavy barrels.

Is it possible to add weight to the front of the stock? I tried that on my 300WM and it made a big difference with around a lb of lead. After adding the weight I could shoot it with both hands at the back and it doesn't jump up so bad.

Just got finished comparing the Mossberg 100ATR and the Howa 1500 and guess what, the 100ATR is a clone of the Howa. I cannot vouch as to parts interchangability, but the ATR is very clearly Howa with the Savage barrel mounting system. It's entirely possible that a fellow who wanted to upgrade the stock on the ATR could use one for the Weatherby Vanguard, Howa, or even the Mossberg 1500. Being an American Howa, more or less, it is most certainly a better rifle than the 710.

Sorry probably similar design & not the same .
