Used to be many many many more but this is what I have left for SKS rifles. Top is a 5.56mm SKS and bottom is a Norinco done up with a Polish laminated honor guard stock and a blade bayonet. Pictured below it are my Russian SKS ammo pouches, youngest one is ink stamped 1956.

you may no longer have as many but certainly you have the most interesting SKS on the entire board.:)

Its a paperweight right now. When the bolt cycles forward it bends the round damn near in half and blows the mag out of the rifle. Needs some feed work to say the least... Have not tried firing it yet, just cycling it with dummy rounds I made up.

Where does it hang up - on the side, top, or bottom, of the chamber? I also wonder how accurate it would be as a straight pull rifle.

Its hanging up on the bottom side. May have to make the feedramps a wee bit wider. I need a weekend thats free to take a peek and do some tweaking, that won't seem to happen till September though. Perhaps if I make a small feedramp in front of the magazine that would help... Hmmmm

Can't wait to see if you can get it working.

Which one is your favourite curtton?

like your own children you dont have favorite ...... thats bcos i sold the ones that are substandard in quality .:D:D

i do have a soft spot for the middle one with the red jungle stock cos of a few reasons, firstly its under rated , next its the cheapest of the bunch also its the prettiest , what i mean by that is its probably been refurb and it was done well , metal finishing is excellent , bluing is nice and shinny , machining is the smoothest , everything fits nice and tight , unlike some of the younger norinco SKS that i have gotten rid of .

the "D" is OK, not close in quality but acceptable .

my favorite stock is the russian laminated , very pretty but heavy .

i got two new russian coming from SIR so i will compare those to the one i got then make a decision of which one to collect, which one to shoot and which one to leave the herd . part of my (ongoing) weeding out process, good plan?
