Ammo - 9mm vs .38 special?

i buy BDX 9mm, i cant be bothered to reload for the amount of savings id get (not much)

altho i would reload 9mm if i shot other handgun calibers (where the savngs really adds up)

I own both the Glock and a GP100 and both are great guns.Prices between 38 special and 357 mag are about 4 bucks differance.I stick to shooting 357 mag ammo its not much more in price but much more in bang:)

I shoot my G17 much more than my 357 and not because of ammo price but because i find it more fun.
 
.38 special/.357 magnum beats 9mm by far. .38 special is around the same price of 9mm, and the option of shooting .357 magnum makes the choice pretty clear. I don't own a 9mm pistol, and I probably never will. If I was that concerned about ammo costs, I would buy a rimfire.

Not to mention the accuracy you will get out of a revolver is miles ahead of any 9mm semi auto.

As for capacity, I will take 7-8 rounds of .38special/.357mag over 10 rounds of 9mm any day of the week.

Can't be bothered to reload ? ? ?

100 rounds comes off a Dillon 650 in less than 10 minutes (including the time it takes to load the primer tube), you can tailor the load to your liking, try umpteen different bullet/powder/primer/brass combinations AND save a lot of money.

Not to mention changing calibres in a couple of minutes.

Why wouldn't you reload ?

because you get lucky and buy a large quantity of factory ammo at less per box than you can reload it for :dancingbanana:

because then i need to invest in all of the equipment, pick brass, ect ect. shooting BDX is cheap and i dont need to care about picking brass ect, i can just shoot and not worry. now of course if i was shooting 9mm, 45acp and say 44mag then i would reload since id want it for the 45 and the 44 so might as well do 9mm as well. but for just 9mm its not worth it for me
