:)Found a very rare, one of a kind STREN LMG fires from an open bolt, and chambered for the 9mm para round.

For those of you who It was made a Long Branch at the end of the War for commando's and other ruffians.

It uses Sten mags as you can see, I dont know if a Sterling mag will fit.

Rate of fire is a whopping 1900 rounds per minute and when using a 5 round mag it just sounds like a single round going off.

The hard part is getting used to the recoil, its quite harsh much like firing a M2HB .50 with one hand.

I,m perhaps going to sell it I think in favour of a more rare 7.62x54r 1911 Colt I saw for sale at a show.

I may just be cynical... but I suspect someone just stuck their sten mag in a bren gun... Doesn't make sense to me to have such a heavy bulky gun when something much smaller would make more sense with a 9mm gun...

Is it a prototype of some sort? never heard of it or seen one.

yes I only know of the one, and its all mine!!!

I heard rumours they made it in 9mm around 1946 for troop transport port firing in the Bradley fighting vehicle. The idea was if you used 9mm there
would be more ammo storage and less weight when coming ashore on dday or landings like it.

The average solider could only carry so much .303 but with the 9mm they could carry quite a bit more. and they could raid dead german soldiers for more ammo and chocolate etc etc.

I also have the 3006 version uses BAR mags if you want I can post a pic
