heard about that, ya those ppsh mags really do a number on the feed ramp and tripod assembly.

I remember one time I was a the range doing an IPSC run and I was pumping out rounds in the STREN like the world was on fire. On the last round I heard a pop. So I lifted the cover to check and see if the belt I had just fed might be torn or cut, which is the usual issue.

Turns out that wasnt the problem, the issue was I had made the mistake of feeding .50 cal rounds through it by mistake. The .50 rounds were in the same ammo box as the 9mm I bought and I must have mistaken the two.

It's almost like the time I read about the .410 Tommy gun...:p:p:p
 
Laugh if you will, but I have a 7.62x39 chinese barrel for my Bren. Even have the extra bits to fit an AK47 mag to it. I can get the gun to chamber and fire, but it won't keep going. (gas regulator is also modified. ) I don't know what else the chinese did to make it work.
Until I figure that out, it will remain in .303
