Norinco M4

Nice gun...
Can you please post pics from other positions of that gun? Thanks in advance...

Fukken black wrath stealing pictures again
(maybe with the help of the CGN mods???).

OOOOPS.....
Deckard, you don't happen to have a non-pinned mag in that pic, do you?

:dancingbanana:

What gun? Some guy found out exactly who's bringing it in and I deleted it rather than admit it. :D

Not sure about the mag. You'd have to ask the guy who took the picture. Or the 'secret' dealer.

PS: Just bugging ya. Sorry. :)

600 i'd almost definately buy one right away
650 same with a slight pause.
700 i'd have to think about it
800 i'd put the idea into the same consideration as a 1000 dollar AR.. and probably never get one

What are you talking about? Mine is for target shooting, not CQB.

I'm just commenting on their marketing. The add clearly states it is a CQB product so their choice of optics is a bit odd.

If these come in at $800 or less I too will jump on one, but like most people I would throw on an a compact 3x at the most. (It would look great with an ACOG but that would be worth more then the gun itself).

well do I have the acog for you.

Lol..

I truely love the Marstar product line when it comes to firearms. In fact I am eagerly waiting on their m14 shipment.

For some reason I don't mind Chinese clone firearms, but Chinese clone optics make me cringe. I guess it is because the cloned rifles can be fixed/upgraded with aftermarket parts, but the same is not true with cheap optics.

#5. Against the CQ311: It's ugly as sin...

I have a CQ-311 and there is no difference looks wise than any other fixed carry handle 20in AR . Mind you I swaped the grip and put new handgaurds on it as well!
Fabsports also carries a barrel thread adapter so you can put a north american made barrel on it as well as an adapter for the stock. I think they are about 35 bucks!

Please put that picture up again
and grow a sense of humour :D

Me too I was bugging you and you should have known that by now
even if I didn't use a whole row of smileys :)
You are welcome to use whatever pics I have.

If that's your concern, why not buy an airsoft rifle you can shoot at home? I prefer firearms that function. I know its crazy to put such emphasis on the little things.

I was not the one that said they are ugly!
Why would I want an airsoft ?
Are you saying that the CQ does not function?
I think you need to read the quote above my first post,
My CQ has never had any jams or malfunctions and it shoots just as good
as any North American AR that I have shot.
What little things are you talking about?

I'm saying many on this site are more concerned with looks and posing than function and skills. I'm not directing this towards you or anyone in particular. Norinco has a sketchy record at best as far as craftsmanship, fit/finish, and reliability goes. With the addition of metric threads instead of the traditional SAE(metric is far better IMO) creating issues with aftermarket/replacement parts, and the fact that China is a douchebag nation who could care less about the rights of their people, the environment or the sovereignty of other nations and their waters. I'm not overly inclined to purchase one of their knock off products.

Your experience with the Norinco rifle is not the status quo for the brand. A failure is a "jam" and most any firearm will run reliably under ideal conditions and running limited rounds. The real test is over the life of the firearm and under hard or adverse conditions. Unfortunately there's only two methods of testing the reliability and durability of a firearm. Use it yourself in such conditions, or play the odds and use the data from others who have used said item in adverse conditions as your indicator that your copy should exhibit similar results in performance.

The "little thing" I was talking about in my previous post was reliability. For some, reliability takes priority over other non essential criteria such as looks, feel, colour, etc etc. This all depends on what you expect out of the firearm, and what you intend to do with it. For someone who collects firearms, functionality may not even be part of their criteria when looking at a new purchase, which is fine. I'm getting tired of reading thread after thread about this rifle/pistol/shotgun isn't working, or why accessory X won't fit firearm Y.

Take a look at the Tavor thread. There's plenty of folks in there who are less than satisfied with some aspect of the rifle. The reason for their displeasure. An undefined intended use and lack of knowledge on what to expect. Dig in the archives here and look at the Rhineland Arms sh*t show. Another classic example of undefined intended use and lack of knowledge on what to expect.

Focusing on looks or accessories without acknowledging issues such as repair, access to parts, performance, ammunition availability and price, and one of the bigger ones Intended use. Often results in an unsatisfied firearms owner.
