Alright Boys and Girls, Let's see some pictures of what you plan on taking into the mountains this year. You need to have taken this rifle or plan to take it into the mountains this year. From the Old mausers to the hi-tech, ultra-lite, Kate Moss specials.
Pictures, and good characteristics are a must. No teasing.
Sheephunter, We want to see that ultra-lite, long range, sheep killing 12ga you were talking about
It is a Kimber 8400 in 300WSM with Talley Light Weight Lows and a Leupold 3.5-10x40 B&C. I would guess around 7lbs as it sits in the picture, just right as far as I can see for the Mountains. I just bought two boxes of 180gr Nosler E-tips (anyone tried these yet?), and plan on mixing some H4350 with them. I love this gun from the CRF, to how damn smooth it is, the wicked trigger, to the stiff stock. The Glass wouldn't be my first choice, but it is growing on me.
Sheep, Mulies and Elk...the burning jealousy of eastern Canadians
