I have a 12" Grizzly that will not always eject a spent case. Does anyone else have this problem. It was fine for the first 100 or so slugs, but now has started to act up.Does anyone have any sugestions.

Can you describe what exactly happens and when this is happening? All the time/every X rounds/ when you rack it hard/rack it softly etc.

Cheers

when you rack it at any speed, it will not always clear the case from the action. It does not matter fast, slow, hard soft. The front of the shell(plastic) clears, but the brass back will just hang up. I use this for bear defence and am having trouble trusting it. It has had over 400 slug rounds through it since new in june. Is it a design flaw or just an adjustment needed. any sugestions are great.

Yea shells should get kicked out very forcfully for sure.
It is not a design flaw as far as I know, although I remember one member had an ejector break on his Norinco. Otherwise I haven't heard of an ejector failure. Did you notice anything broken on yours?
When I get a chance later today I will compare the two guns and see.

nothing seems broken. I don't have a 870 to compare it to, so I have no refrence to see if something is amiss. Thanks for the help.

forgot to mention, it will eject loaded round just fine.

Shouldn't be design problem, Grizzly uses Remington 870 design - the most reliable pump shotgun known.

If it eject loaded round, I don't thing there is any thing broken there.

What kind of ammo are you using? Some cheap brand deform after firing. Try different brand and see.

Put the used shell back into chamber, then eject it. If the same shell always stuck, you know it's the shell.
