I recently have been having problems ejecting brass from the breech, it seems to only happen after the gun heats up, Eventually you can wiggle the bolt a bit and force the bolt out to eject. I'm assuming its because the the barrels hot and the brass expands and sticks inside.... But i could be wrong...Is this normal, any suggestions? Thanks

It sounds like the load is on the edge of excessive. I have seen that with some factory loads as well as many hand loads...

Is this a factory rifle?

Hi I've been consistently shooting Federal Softpoint 170 gr. , the gun is factory the only thing I have done is changed the stock.... Is this Dangerous? Could this do damage to my rifle? anything you can recommend I do?

How many rounds are you shooting in quick succession before this happens?
Is the first round sticking as well?

All of the above. You might give the chamber a good cleaning and polishing. If it's all factory ammo you may have a burr in the chamber from case expansion on a piece of grit.Clean it good and try it again. If the barrel and action inlets into the stock and fits , there really shouldn't be any danger.

What I am getting from the first post is that, the round will extract OK but will not eject the spent casing off the bolt when cycled to the rear.
Could it be you are being too gentle and opening the bolt too slowly? What rifle?

OK ya sorry i should have been more clear, I usually don't get the sticking until 6-10 rounds have been fired so in other words it only happens when the barrel gets hot, so it seems..... When it sticks the bolt wont extract from its closed position smoothly, you have to wiggle it and tug pretty hard back wards to get the action to open, however this is not consistent, seems like every odd one or so will stick not all rounds will stick when the barrel gets hot. which leads me to believe that the factory rounds are inconsistant..... It is a Mark II 7mm Rem Mag........

oh ya PS.... My guns are so clean you could eat off them, I clean my guns immediately after shooting, all the time every time....

If your barrel is hot, the chamber and bore will be bigger. Do you use grease on your locking lugs and on your primary extraction cam? Check the back of your recoil lugs. Stop over cleaning.

Yes I do grease locking lugs,,, bascialy all moving parts..... I didnt know you could "Over Clean" I thought that if you keep your barrel clean it will extend the life of it?

If it is a persistent problem and you use the same make of ammo all the time, the throat can be lengthened slightly to reduce the pressure.
