KPVT spotted in Iraq

I guess that pretty much every ammunition available is API, prohibited because of the incendiary part... Unless somebody makes standard ammunition and bullets in 14.5mm you won't see any.

Worse than that, bud! We can't even get primed empty brass into the country.

Dam right! Too bad they cover their faces or fuzz it out.....

The digital fuzz-out can sometimes be undone, like what did in that skuzzbucket child molester a while ago. What's interesting is e.g. the position they tend to observe from, time of day, layout of the land and the distance and the possibility if it's radio controlled might be easy to jam.

That truly sucks !

What about unprimed brass ?? It must surely use some enormous primer, would the .50 ones would do ??

[rant on]
Another concern, is there a market for such caliber ? The .50's are not that common already, beside the few PTRD sold by mastar, I'd be surprised to see many using something 3x more powerful than the .50
[rant off]

Anyway, shooting that stuff must be REALLY cool ! :sniper:

14.5mm is not three times as powerful as .50 BMG. Nonetheless I want to shoot one BAD. If there was any supply whatsoever of 14.5 I would buy a PTRS\D

14.5 is 2x the energy of 50 BMG.
Their powder is a very special slow powder similar to the artillery small bore: 20, 25 or 30 mil, but I believe that US869 would do with a 50 cal primer.

To get unprimed brass into the country I need at least an order of 10,000 pieces, for which I have no funds. Greentips was weary of a group deal as he was not convinced it was legal, so this is still not happening.

Do you know of a source for PTRS? I never saw it for sale. And actually it's not that much fun to shoot as PTRD from what I was told due to enormous unbuffered recoil.

Couple years back Marstar had both the PTRD and PTRS advertised for sale.

Seeing things like those videos is important - every time some soft bellied pr*ck like Loser Layton comes along and talks about negotiating with the scum, remember those images. That's the kind of enemy of humanity that he would sit down with, concede to and eat with, in the name of peace at any cost. Appeasement didn't work in the 1930's, some how Mr Layton thinks the Taliban are different - they aren't, extremists are all alike, they should all meet the same fate.

What's the price per unit?

Per empty case? That has to be figured. I was quoted $3 for a primed case for a quantity of 1000, but UN may get in the way as they want to control 14.5 munitions. That is why I am working to get a deal on empty cases w/o a primer pocket. If you are interested, PM me.

Must have been a pretty bad video, you tube had taken it off.

Together with the uploader! He's been smacked down as he had 13 videos like that and we've put complaints in. I kept the video just in case, because the 2nd KPVT in the video looked odd due to a very short barrel. I want to do some research to see what kind of gun it was exactly.

^

The video linked showed "home video" of individuals killing/trying to kill allied soldiers; lots of roadside bombs, roadside ambushes and a few shootings.

It was bad.

OK - I am very curious about that video? help. Is there another link?

Unfortunately, there will be re-posts of that crap on Youtube.
In two words that was a prep to a terrorist attack and the attack itself, plus some other nasty scenes. This is why the smackdown team is doing what it's doing - going after the videos, flagging them and complaining to Youtube about the nastiest uploaders. We've removed hundreds of videos and closed hundreds of accounts, thus wasting thousands of man-hours by the terrorist sympathizers/propagandists. Information has also been passed to the authorities and I am hoping it saved lives on the ground and made work of Iraqi Army, police and the coalition forces easier, due to sheer stupidity of the terrorists showing their locations, faces and vehicles etc.
