I'd like to give a big thanks to Mark and the gang at Questar for their excellent customer service. Without them I would not be enjoying my new (to me) HK P7 and HK45! I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of importing from the US to use their services.

The HK P7 I purchased is finished in Robar NP3 http://www.robarguns.com/np3.htm

The finish of the pistol is fantastic. I love how this pistol handles (even the magazine release) and can't wait to get it out to the range! Here's a pic of the new pistol

I'm also happy with the HK45 I purchased. I ended up getting them both at the same time to save a little cash. The HK45 balances quite well and I can't wait to get it out to the range too!

Here's a pic of the HK45

Give us a report on how you think the grip and recoil characteristics are different than the USP series. I have a P30-L on order in 9mm.

how did you get robar to finish it ?
did you buy the gun here and have it sent down to the USA to have finished?
or did you buy the gun already finished by robar and have questar do the importing ?

im very curious about this, i would like to send a few things to certain shops down there to have guns worked on. is this possible ?
anyone want to chime in on this .

I purchased the gun from the US and it was already finished by robar. I am not sure of the process for doing this for a gun you already own. If it is possible the craftsmanship is incredible and the finish of the pistol is fantastic. For the P7 itself it is like NIB.

Did the importation take very long?
