I'm reloading for a webey with a shaved cylinder. I'm loading .455 bullets in 45 Auto Rim brass. I'm seating the bullets to normal webley OAL. One thing though. Should I concern myself with case length or can I just leave them at 45 Auto Rim length? Thanks, I need someone competent (unlike myself) to double check my work here.

As long as the case is not longer than the chambers in the cylinder then I would leave them as is.
The auto rim obviously has a rim & that is what it will head space on.
BTW: I rarely hear stupid questions about guns, reloading etc. Some stupid answers but not the questions.

What is a shaved cylinder? Sounds like something a person might encounter unexpectedly in the magazines on the upper shelf at the newstand - reaching for Guns and Ammo of course.
If the cartridge capacity is less than the books specify for that particular load, then you might have problems. Same powder charge and bullet + less expansion room = higher pressures. The forgiveness of a revolver is the gap between the cylinder and barrel, which vents the pressure right away. So the question is whether your cylinder is strong enough. When in doubt load down.

If you take a look in the chambers you should be able to see some indication of where it ends. I realize that it might be fairly indistinct but it might be possible to feel or see the ridge at the end of the chamber using a sharp edged brass rod or similar and measuring it against the brass.
