300 wsm vs 300 wm

I'll stick with my .300 Win Mag thanks.

70 grains of IMR 4350 and a 180 grain JHP produces sub 1" at 100 yards and knocks down everything I need it to.

Nothing magic about that.... ;)

im not saying it magic or anything like that yes the wm will hold more I just thought it would be an interesting note
but the wsm is a better mountain rifle IN MY opionion because it is lighter and shorter
so dont be getting your panties in a knot cuz im not saying mines better than yours
its jsut some # for those that were interested

Any shooter should be more concerned about the midsection of himself rather than a couple extra ounces on a rifle.:D
The two calibers are very good and the only difference is which one you like.:sniper:

i load 66.5 grns of imr 4350 over a 180 scirrocco/ 215 fed primer and only average 3000fps in a 300wsm. not a hot load as brass lasts for many firings. some of my win brass has been fired nine to ten times and the primer pockets are still tight. i would be worried at 3100 to 3150 velocitys.

Barnes lists 65.5 gr IMR 4350, 180gr TSX @ 3020fps for the 300WSM

Unlike many older manuals, I'd be taking modern pressure tested data as maximum, especially fo the WSM cartridges. They have extremely thick, strong brass, but it's not adamantium.:)

As long as primer pockets are staying tight for 3-4 fireings its probably safe. I'd start over when you run out of components though.
