can you legally buy hollow point or jacketed hollow point pistol ammo in canada?
I have not seen any for sale here. Could it be imported from the states?:sniper:

as far as i kno its legal,
importing from the states is a very costly and difficult process not really worth it:runaway:

What is prohibited is armour-piercing handgun ammunition and incendiary ammunition.

Assuming that the JHP to which you refer is neither of those...it's all good.

Well it would be fun to shoot, I've never seen AP - JHP Tracer ammo.

JHP by definition pretty much provides the least penetration of any bullet.

Fiocchi 230 gr JHP .45ACP

Fiocchi offers a 230 grain JHP .45ACP factory loading. It is in a blue box. Rated at 850 fps and 390 pounds energy at the muzzle. It's available in Canada. Our local dealer has some and retails it for around $27 per 50 box [plus taxes]. My new style Norc compact eats it up like no body's business [feeds flawlessly].

And you are basing this statement on exactly what? Clearly you have NO CLUE what you are talking about thus one would suggest it might be best to read and learn rather than spouting off about something which you don't know.

FWIW JHP bullets do not expand in soft tissue and thus they tend to penetrate the deepest when compared to expanding ammunition. I know this cause I have actually done penetration testing in wet media.
