Replacement Stock for CZ 550

I bought a CZ 550 Medium and I find that with the scope on it, I have to raise my head up too high off the stock to look through the scope. They only make a medium height ring as their lowest ring. Is there an aftermarket wood stock that will fit this rifle and raise my head up higher to line up with the scope?

I am looking for a synthetic stock for a CZ 550 medium as well. I was hoping to find something more economical than McMillan but may have to go that route.

I was under the impression that McMillan only made a synthetic for the magnum series rifles.
 
Richards Microfit Gunstocks can do them but there is a 16 week waiting period . I'm thinking of getting the Cascade Classic black grey laminated . Be about $103.00 plus tx & shipping .

I ordered a stock from them last year and after waiting 10 Months I told them to give me my money back and keep it.

I will stick with a company who actually gives a rip about customer service.

CZ 550

This stock is specifically designed to fir the CZ 550 actions. The buttstock has a straight comb and cheekpiece, and the fairly narrow forend will take custom barrels up to a #4 contour. This stock has fine checkering and is available in right hand only. For CZ Magnum actions, see the CZ Express stock on this page.

CZ EXPRESS

This is an English safari style stock designed specifically for the CZ550 Magnum action. It will work with many other large caliber actions with drop belly floorplates such as the Brno 602, the Olympic Arms BBK-01 and the 02 actions. The medium forend will accept custom barrel contours up to a Douglas #5 but will not take heavy straight taper target type contours.

McMillian emailed me telling me that they have stocks for CZ, but they only sell directly to CZ...??? I too have a CZ that I am looking to stock. Too bad about Richards Micro Fit, seems to be a good deal, but not for 10 months. Anyone use Richards successfully??
