West Coast M14 Support Group SEPT 6 Clinic

It was a great day, a big thanks to 45ACPKing for hosting the event and for his expertise. Thanks to POWMIA56 for the shim and checking over my rifle and thanks to Doc911 for making sure that terribly loose op rod guide got tightened up. :)

Some funny moments, including KiwiMatt's fight with the flash hider. Ok, I think he was mostly on the sidelines watching POWMIA56, but there was an epic struggle followed by cheering and a little good natured ribbing afterwards. I seem to recall a masonary chisel getting into action at one point. :runaway: That one was stubborn! :D

Perhaps we should take up a collection to buy KiwiMatt a new flash hider ... ;)

LOL Hey thats my idea of fun!! Nothing beats bashing an M14 with the largest hammer you can find.

Thanks to 45ACPKING for his hospitality and to POWMIA56 and DOC911 for hanging in there for an epic flash hider removal

As always, tons of fun. Pitdogboy missed out on Rolling Rock beer (snooze you lose buddy). Never seen so many M-14s in one place as it seems almost everyone has two now. It was especially nice to have a tool that 45ACPKING didn't have and needed.:)

I'm seriously thinking about having one down here just not sure how to get the word out since we don't have anything as big as gunnutz. If I do I'll be trying to get 45ACPKING to come down and share his wisdom and I'll have to try to roust up enough guys with M-14s to make it worthwhile.

BIG THANX to all who made it out. Was one heck of a fun day, great to see familiar faces from previous clinics and also great to have the first timers soak in it all up. I hope everyone enjoyed the day and got some useful info to take home and "apply" to thier m14.

we will be doing this again after i've satisfied my primal urge to fill my freezer with moose and deer.... and maybe an elk..... :D

thanx again guys , was an especially fun day

:D :D :D i just checked the fridge..... thanx to Powmia56..... there's a 1/2 sack 'o' rollin rock and a fresh case 'o' good ol henry weinharts Blue Boar .... now i don't normally drink.... at all..... but i have a weakness for blue boar hhehe
for anyone who missed this event..... don't worry, the tradition will continue.... the west coast m14 group is here to stay ;) :sniper:

i do not think anyone took pics... but Katana did video tape a segment for the DVD we have had in the works for a few months... I think he is eager to get that dvd onto gunnuts as well ;)

I had a great time learning about my rifle, thanks to 45ACPKING for all the info. It is really great to put a face to the names, and to be able to drool over some of the custom creations! It is probably a good thing that I didn't want my flash hider taken off!
