This is a post for my Girlfriend's dad. He has a CZ 858 and he says that he can't pull back the bolt. He's taken out the spring and everything and it seems to be jammed pretty good.

Anyone familiar with this and anything he can do short of taking it in to the smith?

does he have a spent casing in the chamber? and how far can he pull the carrier back? about an inch or none at all?

He said that there isn't a casing in the chamber, and he said it is locked up damn solid and can't even make it half way, tried using a screwdriver to the point where he was afraid of doing damage and it still wouldn't budge.

If it is the locking block, what kind of repair we looking at? parts and labour

locking block sells for $10 .

turn the rifle upside down and remove the mag , see if the locking block (LB)moves down when carrier is #### backward , if not , then the LB maybe broken or something is preventing it from moving up (or down when upsidedown) , there is 3 tube in the carrier , the main spring tube ends up above the LB so try to flush out any loose debris in all 3 tubes . give that a try . good luck .

He says the tabs move down when the carrier is moved back. He said he removed the springs but didn't check for debris
