Hello folks, I am ashamed to say this is my first post in the Black and Green Rifle Forum. I got up this morning and was shocked by the Liberal propaganda regarding possible new firearms being added to the prohib list. I have never owning a black rifle but have always been interested; I felt my old Boy Scout motto of being prepared kick in. I have purchased an Armalite stripped lower immediately. I was prepared to purchase the complete lower but unfortunately Wolverine was out of stock. My first AR-newbie question is, will the stripped lower qualify me for prohib status if the Liberal gets their way? And second question, where do can I find the rest of the components for making my Armalite stripped lower into a complete lower? Do I need an Armalite lower kit or can it be any AR lower kit? Any feed back is appreciated. And once I have all the components to start my build I look forward to picking everyone’s brain. Thanks in advance for everyone’s help. Chev

AFAIK, since the receiver is the gun if grandfathering is done you'll be qualified. I'm also of the impression that many if not all of the lower kits are interchangeable, but I'm not certain.

On a related aside I'm in the same boat as you. I'll be buying a stripped lower on payday. So if you don't mind me asking, how much did it set you back?

I really hope that the parts kits are interchangeable because I don't want to wait a couple of months for a new shipment of Armalite. My recently formed plan is to complete the lower by sometime next month, and to purchase an upper for Christmas. All under the radar of the wife, I hope.

The total came to $218.00 after taxes and shipping from Wolverine.

BTW. If anyone knows of an Armalite lower parts kit for sale, let me know. Thanks again.

I doubt it. That's an awful lot of AR15s to confiscate. There'd be some fierce civil unrest if they tried that. Prohibition first, then let all the owners die off. It's working with the MBRs and SMGs they prohibited in the 90s.

Wolverine sells parts kits also. So does arms east and questar. They're all interchangeable. Cheers!

Thanks cancer. I was not sure but will place an order for what ever parts kit is available now. Wolverine was sold out of the lower parts kit or else I would have ordered one with the stripped lower as well.

Sorry if my thread got political. This was not my intention; I just wanted to state the motivation behind my purchase. Maybe I should change the title of the thread.

and UZI..... I think people are dreaming if they think they are going to let people keep them. The whole point is to get them out of "circulation". Your energy is best spent supporting the CPC.

I think more likely you would see ARs untouched. But you would see Mini-14s, TAVORs, T97s, CXSTORM and all the others prohibited.
