M&P 9 Pro

I can't seem to find them in Canada! Is the only difference the 5 inch barrel?
Hello John! My grandfather lives in Kitimat! I sure am past due for a visit.

The Pro has the longer barrel and improved sights. Other than that I am not sure. Trying to find out. It may be just as well to buy the M&P L and change out the sights.

Mercer, you are almost a Kitimatian:wave: Coho are late this year so it might be a good year to visit. Our IDPA club championships are running on the 21st as well:) :welcome:

Regards,

John

I'm not sure about the trigger. The S&W site talks about a 4 1/2 to 5 lb trigger. I don't think the trigger on my M&P9 is heavier than that so...????

Need more hard info!:runaway:

The Pro has a different sear design, it's supposed to give not just a lighter trigger but a crisper trigger pull - more like a single action with take-up than a double action. The PC sear is hardened too. Also the front sight is fibre optic from the factory, for competitions that don't allow changes to the pistol.

Thanks for the info. :D

I have emailed one of our sponsors enquiring about M&P Pro availability in Canada.

Thanks for the link novan3:)

I emailed S&W and they say the Pro is a long slide version with improved sights, threaded barrel and factory tuned 3 1/2 - 4 lb trigger, no mag safety but.....not in Canada:runaway:

Looks like I will be buying a Shadow instead:D
