Hello all,
Are there any retailers out there that will sell pre moded new 10/22's? I love the tactical look but don't want to mod the rifle myself.

Any reason in particular that you don't want to mod yourself? For the most part (99% of the time) It's a simple swap. If you can undo and retighten a screw, you're ready to go. :D

The Equipment Exchange on this board is a good place to buy builds, but due to the highly customisible nature of the 10/22, you're stuck with what the other person liked.

oh is it really that is? Maybe i'll buy a 10/22 and try a couple of small mods first.. i'll check out fabsports as well.. thanks guys!

The only thing I'm not doing for my 10/22 build is the internal component swap: I'm meeting somebody at CRAFM later tonight to do just that... what can I say, I'm all thumbs.

I was able to swap out the hammer for my 597 though, so I guess that counts. :D

If I did that, surely you can make yourself a nice looking 10/22? ;)

The gun is rather easy to take apart and easy to put back together. Nothing to be afraid of cause after you do it once it just gets easier and easier to do.

Just remember the trigger sub assembly (trigger, sear and disconnector) can all be held together with a small piece of weed whacker line. I am certain if I didn't know that trick I would of never been able to get the thing back together.

Also don't forget modding it yourself makes it your gun, not someone elses you bought.

yep its easy as pie and you wind up with a gun that's uniquely yours ( kind of like a Harley based chopper). Any instructions you can't find stickied here you can get at ww w.rimfirecentral.com The weedwhacker trick is new to me but sounds like a great idea. I used to make slave trigger group pins out of copper electrical wire but this sounds like less work. Some of the kits you buy include a slave pin as well.

I used to use weed whacker line and have since bought a Patch Worm which will even allow you to clean .17cal with it.

First stocks are ready but we need to take good pictures.

It's the best stocks I never seen, really look like a AR 223 or 308.

And made in Canada !
