Just looking for recommendations for a cheap skeet/ clay gun.
I was looking on marstar and seen Turkish over and under shotguns . There is two different models, one with a execrator and one with an Auto ejector. Any comments, recommendations, advice?
Thanks
Rod

Used Browning or Beretta, miles ahead of cheap Russian or Turkish guns and they hold their values much better. Check the EE, but stay away from cheap new guns, you are better off with good quality used. You will find few people who are glad they purchased a new Baikal, CZ or Daly shotgun over a used Citori or 686, conversely you will find many who are glad they did the opposite. Cheers,

Patrick

Have a look at the Fabarms. They are not cheap, but they are less than the big name brand guns. They offer comparable quality and include complete sets of choke tubes and fitted cases in the price.
Also their new choke tubes and tribore system provide better patterning.

If your new to clay target shooting it does get addictive and a cheap gun isn't going to hold up. Do yourself a favor and invest in a good used gun or a new one. You can get a field gun as well and still go to the target range to get a feel for it.

My recomendations would be a Browning or Beretta in the used O/U or semi auto market.

It's been talked about here numerous times to go to a club and try as many as you can and decide if a O/U or semi auto is best for you. A Sporting model is likely best to start to let you compete at all the games be it Skeet, Trap or Sporting Clays

Nice guns terrible web site.

Other options I was think about for just a skeet/ GP gun are
just get a longer barrel for my 870, (perhaps the cheapest solution)
Or Pick up
Mossberg 535 ATS, 500, 930
Remington 11-87 SPORTSMAN or another 870
Browning gold series
STOEGER P-350 or M2000
All with a 28 inch barrels

But I do like the O/U for its classic lines for shooting clays and a semi for the ease.

Yes it get addictive, I stoped shooting clays years ago and just started last year again with my buddy. I all most forgot how much fun it is.
Thanks again for all your help guys

Longer barrels on the 870 are going to give you a little more forward weight with a longer sighting plane both a benefit. You didn't mention the length of the barrel but your 870 is fine for Skeet and Sporting.

Of the guns you mention above my preference would be the Browning as I'm not a fan of any of the others.
