There is one. Looks good to me.

How come the checkering is a yellow green colour? Is that from the flash?

Oh ! --- s**t !!!! --- will I ever learn to keep my mouth shut !!!! ------- anyway there boomer271, ----- sure hope it wasn,t yours, if it is, or rather was, yours , ----- I am taking good care of it, its got a Good home !!!! Ah !!! --- Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Thanks, bud. You are quite welcome.

No hard feelings at all. <sniff> No, really!

Better she goes to a friend who'll take care of her and take her out to all the places she loves to go . . . long walks in the woods . . . all that. I've replaced her in the gun safe if not in my heart just yet. I'll be hunting upland game birds with the sassy li'l IGA Coach this week, and there's always the 870's . . . and the Benelli . . . Let's just say I got over her! But there's nothing like a first love - there'll always be a space in the gunrack if she wants to come home. Let me know.

Make sure she's fed and cared for, and gets plenty of exercise!

Enough of this sentimental craP! I love the good old SxS shotguns, because they do what they're made for, they do it well, and they do it with a certain style. Maybe not a lot of cla$$, but style.

I will definitely look at the Norinco - next season. This year's budget is, literally, $hot!

------- Yes my Friend, she is being well cared for, lots of exercise, well feed, and lots of time in the Bush !!! ---- I know what you mean about a first love, had a old Winchester 94, do that to me several years ago as well -------- as they say, time heals all wounds. Nice to know there,s a space for her, down the road, if I change my mind !!! I live and have a Cabin, where there are a lot of Grizzles, here in B.C., and she feels real good to be with, if you know what I mean. She just feels right, What can I say !!!! ------ and I know what you mean about those SxS,s :)

Knowing Norinco's fine quality control, they probably cut the checkering after they finished the surface of the wood.

That, or it is the staining effect of the tears of the slave child who was plying the cutting tools over the grip areas....

I have been meaning to post into this thread for awhile, but I have been sidetracked with Milsurp and Red Rifles....:D

I bought this Norico Model 99 on the EE in early summer and I love it! I finally got to use it for some competitive Trap shooting, only my second time, and I shot 28 of 50 clays. With more practice I would have hit many more.

I must say, I like mine more than the other Norico coach guns, simply because it lacks the checkering. I do wish it had the sling mounts, but I will get that remedied soon. :D
