I have one of these fine / fun pieces of machinery and I'd like to start feeding it some relaods. Anyone recommend a load with 240gr FMJ's that will reliably cycle it? All my plinking loads for my 629 will not eject let alone cycle it.

Regards,

Rather than 240 gr bullets, try the Hornady 265 gr bullets that are actually designed for the 444Marlin. They have a longer nose cone, so feed flawlessly.
I use loading data geared for the Thompson contender or 44 mag rifle loads.
I prefer Bluedot for powder as it keeps the gun cleaner longer than 296 or some of the other "preferred" powders for 44 mag.
Make sure you DON'T get your ammo mixed up or your wheel guns will suffer terribly. Personally I use 1 brand of brass only for my DE and another for my wheel guns.
